But having positive expectations may improve your happiness before the meal even starts because of your anticipation of the event. I understand and agree on the second sentence. The first... its a matter of relativity. I think negative people - people who have negative expectations - will see something wrong; things to complain about, at that restaurant instead of focusing on all that is good there. But there is a whole lot to be said, and to be thought about, regarding mans search for happiness and what makes us have a deeper happiness and joy (versus fun and excitement that is temporary in nature).
