So, here goes... I have a 99 Legacy SUS with 241k miles on the chassis. In the last 3 months weve rebuilt the engine around a brand new Subaru short block. Weve replaced the steering rack. And now were looking at a new steering pump (which was replaced about 9 months ago). We put the engine work into the car because we love it, and couldnt find anything comparable for the same price. Now were wondering whats next. Were thinking about selling. So, with all that said, what does everyone here think would be a fair price given the roughly $6500 weve just put into it, and the roughly $2500-3000 blue book value prior to any of this work? I hate to give up on it at this point, but its just starting to bleed us dry. Any constructive input would be appreciated.
