So here is my pick/suggestion/gift to all and any who are looking to be swept off their feet unexpectedly by an anime. Where do I begin? Arakawa Under the Bridge, I believe, fits this category quite perfectly. I was never suggested it. It isnt even what I would call of my favorite genre mixes. But somehow with no publicity to speak of, I had the happy accident of stumbling upon this show while searching deep within the confines of the comedy section of one of my favorite anime streaming sites. I didnt have much of an expection for the show, it simply seemed wacky and the brief reviews i saw said it was decent. I was in a light hearted mood so i dove in. Boy... I am so happy I did. What starts off very silly indeed proceeds to draw you in and really make a home in your heart. Its hard to describe.. The kind of feeling when you catch yourself really smiling while watching an anime. Laughing wholeheartedly at things you might look upon stoney faced in day to day life. The show makes you just feel happy to be experiencing it as if you were right there under the bridge with them . If I could pick one anime to go and spend a day in, it might truly just be in Arakawa Under the Bridge. I wont say much more, Ill let you brave adventurers find your way from here. I hope somebody enjoys this as much as I did and passes it on!
