So here is the Sandy is in the Hospital story....I have been really busy this last week....nothing out of the usual for me..It all ended Sunday evening with a Living Word Lutheran Christmas Concert. I was sitting on the end of the pew with Angela, the choir came in, and I noticed I didnt have a program. I told Angela I would get us one. I stood up and stepped into the aisle and the next thing I knew I was on the floor...I hit my head on the pew across the aisle, hit my left knee, rolled over on my back and was disoriented..I was told the concert stopped, my name was announced, a prayer was said, and I was transported by ambulance to St. Marys Ozaukee Hospital. After a CT scan of head, x-ray of knee, ekg, lab work, ultra-sound of cor rated arteries, echo cardiogram, more lab work, stress test, and IV....and only 3 hours of sleep...I am home! Praise God! It ends up I have blockage in the arteries on the left side of my neck....and need to see a cardiologist and a surgeon...Angela said the fall started with her camera bag strap getting in the way of my feet. I felt so very embarrassed and really hated missing the concert. But thankful that God used this opportunity to make me aware of a health issue that could possibly lead to a stroke....Thanks everyone for the prayers.
