So here it is Angie Barnes., 8 minutes watched from my hosp bed one afternoon during which i smiled. That 8 minutes got me fighting to attend every physio session that was offerred in the hopes Id be well enough to get to one of their final gigs. I didnt, theyd finished by the time I was discharged in December...but It had lodged in my brain that just maybe 8 minutes of happiness in one day just might extend to hours rather than minutes. Been a long road. Finally I got my answer. High Functioning Autism & not mentally ill. The journey now with this new knowledge continues. I get to see Heaven 17. And Im not afraid anymore to ditch anyone who finds Aspergers/Autism a reason to make jokes & get in the way of what is left of my life.
