So here was today...oceanfront golf course (for $35 I might add!!!), 84° with bright blue skies. We found four horses at various places on the course itself (not in harms way, dont worry) and a bunch of dogs and chickens and all sorts of Gods creatures... Plus stunning visuals. Enjoyed the day immensely with Paul N Rogers...amazing experience. Bought some souvenirs. With every purchase, on your receipt you are automatically entered in a Puerto Rican sales tax lottery! I absolutely know this will drive some of you reading it bat-shit crazy with tax-anger, but I dont have the time for that, so I think its kinda cool. Assuming you have to have sales tax, and I literally have never lived in a place without it (although I know those places do exist), paying it might as well be fun. So I will check the website later, (ivuloto.pr.gov) and see if I won $50,000...or a car! Ive never heard of anything like that before... You know...a spoonful of sugar and the medicine goes down... Had mofongo for dinner last night. When I first read it, I thought the menu was cussing at me, then I thought maybe they are showing the movie with Ken Norton in it. But no...its a delicious dish made with shredded, fried plantains, and a Creole type of mixture. Mine was with chicken, and was very, very good. Tasty! Tomorrow I start my SEVENTEENTH year calling basketball for one arm or another in the ESPN family of networks. This game will be on ESPN RADIO with Marc Kestecher on play by play with me. When I count the many blessings with which I have been bestowed, I count this collective 17 year experience right at the very top. Grateful, eager, and probably as excited as I was for the first game 17 years ago...
