So here we are crying out for something that we don’t quite know how to comprehend nor even how to receive. Messages, sermons, prophecies and even books have been written on it yet are we even closer to it now than we were before? Could it be that we are making something more complicated than we need to? Is it possible that in our seeking to grasp this thing called revival we’ve turned it into something it is not? We have a whole new generation coming up behind us and we must begin to demystify revival, we must call it what it really is. Quite simply put it is a life that is lead by God’s Holy Spirit, purchased through the death and resurrection of Jesus and made available to all who would ask for it. It is a life style of constantly choosing God’s best over what we prefer, desire, or even think we need. It is a life style accentuated with humility, driven by love, filled with every good fruit of God’s Spirit and a knowing that no matter what happens around you, God has you right in His hand. We must let go of all the sermonizing, writing, and even conferencing about revival and begin to live it, walk it, reveal it to the world around us. It means that just by you living the life of a child of the Most High God the world around you is impacted, they see the light of Christ in you, they see the love Father God has adorned you with. They begin to want it. They may even ask you about it. I see people right there in the middle of Walmarts, Targets, malls hearing the good news about Jesus and what He did for us and accepting Him as Lord and Savior. I see people in businesses all around our nation and the world begin to call upon the name of the Lord to save them and Him responding quickly, changing their lives forever. I see airports filled with passersby that see someone hurting or lonely or stranded and these ones passing by giving them their last dollar, a shoulder to cry on, or just talking with them. I see light being released into our atmosphere by the uniting of believers who just simply live what God has spoken. I see that light changing our atmosphere, individually and as a whole. I see darkness fleeing as this light continues to grow. I see the generations joining their lights with each other creating pathways of light that lead to the cross and beyond into the kingdom of God. I see no distinction of color, race, class nor gender but I do see a kingdom filled with people whose hearts burn in anticipation of learning something new about God or finding new ways to worship God, or even just hearing from His throne the sound of His heart. I see the world looking towards this kingdom, yearning to enter in but not knowing how. I see also the hour of decision coming and going with some joining this kingdom of God while others who are afraid to let go of what they have known or cherished choosing instead to remain in the dark where weeping is heard and sorrow abounds. The bridegroom sent out His invitations through His messengers and the invitations were turned down. I hear the heart of God as He turns away from those who refused His invitation. He does not anyone to miss out on the salvation that was paid for through the blood of His Holy Son Jesus. God would that all be saved, yet many will choose not to. There will be anger, jealousy, contempt but the child of God who desires to live as God has spoken chooses to rise above these snares and love the person who despises them or even hates them. We must let the rising generations coming behind us know that they will be hated and maybe even killed for the sake of Christ. But we must also tell them of the glory that awaits them and the life waiting for them to live out. Revival is nothing more than a heart awakened to the potential awaiting it. A life lived with God at the center and every choice made based on His word is all that is required. Grace abounds for such as these. How sure am I of all this? I know because I am here in a place that more than thirty years ago I didn’t know existed. I have seen the hand of God move on my behalf countless times. I have known Him to literally move the earth to save my life. I have watched Him bring each one of my family to salvation. I have the blood of countless saints running through me that have seen the same things, known the same things, experienced the same things. I’ve seen miracles, healings, wombs opened, people be delivered and more. Yet I know there is so much more coming. God sees a world trying to take control what it can not comprehend for they do so leaning on their own understanding and shun God. They do not see the war that rages round about them every day and every night. Even the earth itself sees this and waits in eager anticipation for the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. (romans 8:19) Awaken children of light, children of the kingdom of God!!!!!!! Awaken and embrace a life filled with the goodness of God!!!!!! Be diligent to heed God’s word and joyfully follow His lead!!!!!! You have a life filled with wonder awaiting you!!!!!! Awaken!!!!!!
