So here we go! Remember, this based on 2014, so half of the 2013/14 season, and the 2014/15 season so far. Player of the Year: Eden Hazard Tough choice, him, Suarez, Di Maria, Aguero all couldve won it, however, Hazard has been fantastic for Chelsea this season and is involved in pretty much everything good they do. Definitely worthy of this award. Young Player of the Year: Raheem Sterling Again, another tough one. Barkley, Sterling, Shaw, De Gea, all have been quality. But Raheem Sterling has been superb. Hes been Liverpools only good highlight of the 2014/15 season so far, and last season he chipped in with 10 goals. Hes 20, and definitely has a bright future ahead of him. Most surprising team of the Year: West Ham Wow, Big Sam & co have turned them into something worth watching, theyve bought in some quality players for very little and now the results are showing. Theyve beaten some quality and are looking at a Top 6 finish - fantastic IMO Best newcomer: Cesc Fabregas Again, another close one. Him, Di Maria or Song couldve won it. But Cesc Fabregas has been absolutely amazing, 14 assists I think this season already? Chelsea have got themselves a bargain with this deal. Fantastic buy from Mourinho. Most disappointing newcomer: Mario Balotelli Words can not describe how much I rated Balotelli before he moved. Oh boy, was I wrong. He came in for £16,000,000 and was supposed to replace the 30 odd goals Suarez scored. No chance. With not a Premier League goal to his name, Balotelli needs to wisen up or hell be gone by the Summer. Surprising Player of the Year: Harry Kane I didnt think much of him when he first appeared on the scene, but now hes gotten himself into the Spurs team and hes been nothing short of fantastic. 20 goals to his name this season, and at just 21, Harry Kane has a bright future. Best Manager of the Year: Sam Allardyce If you asked me this in August, Brendan Rodgers or Tony Pulis. But Allardyce really has changed West Hams fortune. With a solid 13th finish, and new additions in the Summer (Alex Song especially), West Ham are looking at a Top 6 finish. Surprising Transfer of the Year: Di Maria In all respect to United, finishing 7th, 15 points behind 4th. I didnt think this would happen. However, they threw money at the problem and somehow Di Maria is there now. Hes been amazing for them so far and definitely will be one of the reasons Manchester United are as good as they are. Best English Player of the Season: [Club & Country] Raheem Sterling Again, another close one. It was between him, Sturridge, Rooney and Cahill. But I feel Sterling has done enough for both CLUB AND COUNTRY to get this award. Hes had a hell of a Year and hell only get better. Most disappointing team of the Year: West Brom. Considering their fantastic 2012/13 season, finishing 8th. They finished just 3 points clear of the relegation zone last season, and it isnt looking any better this season, just one point above the relegation. However, with Tony Pulis coming, I feel their luck is about to change. Best Moment of 2014: Liverpool finishing 2nd They proved everyone wrong, until the Gerrard Slip, EVERYTHING went Liverpools way, they were scoring goals for fun, S.A.S were incredible. Finishing 2nd with the squad they had, smashing Arsenal, Spurs and Everton, were just some of the highlights of that season. Now, theyre battling for a Top 6 finish. Oh, how times change :( BONUS: BPL Team of the Year 2014: (4-3-3) Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris RB: Seamus Coleman CB: Gary Cahill CB: Vincent Kompany LB: César Azpilicueta CM: Yaya Toure CM: David Silva CAM: Angel Di Maria RM: Alexis Sanchez ST: Sergio Aguero LM: Eden Hazard (2ND CHOICE TEAM) (4-4-2) GK: David De Gea RB: Pablo Zabaleta CB: John Terry CB: Jan Vertonghen LB: Ryan Bertrand RM: Raheem Sterling CM: Adam Lallana CM: Aaron Ramsey LM: Christian Eriksen ST: Daniel Sturridge ST: Wilfried Bony So, there you go! Ive probably spend half an hour doing this, but I dont mind. Anyway, feel free to disagree to my opinions, there are some questionable ones in there. But I feel Ive justified myself as to why I picked them. Comment below your winners of these awards. 2014 has been a great Year for the Premier League, lets hope 2015 is just as good!
