So heres a cute story....my grandpa Tripp who passed away grew a grapefruit tree from a single seed in the late 1970, my mom took that tree over when my grandpa passed... She loved that tree but over 10 years ago moved to las Vegas and couldnt take it with her, she gave it to her friend\neighbor Sandy and told her what it ment to her and the story of it, my mom went to Vegas for like 6-7 yrs and came back here 3 years ago then 2 weeks ago out of the blue my mom asks me to call this lady Sandy and ask her about tree!!! I call her not even knowing her and mention my mom, she right away says does ur mom want her tree?? I was like wow you still have it? And are willing to give it up? She said I will do one better and come with you to see ur mom and bring her the tree!! I was like oh yes she would be thrilled!!! So Saturday I surprised my mom with not one but two old friends, Sandy and Diane but also the grapefruit tree my beloved grandfather grew and has been in my family for over 30 yrs back with my mom where it belonged!!! There were a lot of happy tears shed and my mom was so happy to have her tree back....it was so cool that tree still lives....also on a funny side note my grandmother taped a plastic grapefruit to that tree once to mess with my grandpa and he at first believed it was real....haha I remember that I was like 8 or 9 lol
