So heres a little story for Friday morning, as to why my mum is such a beautiful person. My mums a nurse unit manager at St Vincents private hospital on the cardiac ward. Patients from New Caledonia who have heart problems are sent to St Vincents as they have an agreement because there are no facilities in their country. These people are generally quite poor and dont have a lot, especially compared to the calibre of people at St Vincents Private. I noticed this morning as we were walking to work together that she had a new pair of mens thongs and a old pair, I asked what were they for. My mum came across a New Caledonian patients belongings and noticed a pair of thongs which werent in a fab condition. So she decided to head to k mart last night with this mans pair of things to compare them for size and get him a new pair. She said to me, it just makes you so grateful to think of what you have, and how little others dont and what you can do for them My mum is the reason why I have faith in humanity and why I want to help others.
