So heres a thought I had a bit ago and I thought Id share it with you. People sometimes come up to me and say Hey, whats the churchs stance on _____? The last time this was asked, it was about the legalization of marijuana, which I dont think the church has really ever made a hard stance for or against. They are against us consuming it for sure unless its for medical purposes. So my thought is that the church doesnt really need to have a stance on every aspect in our lives. The purpose of living is to learn to make our own decisions. We mistakenly think that because God knows everything, we must come with an instruction manual that tells us every aspect of what we need to do, and we need to agree and disagree with everything other members agree and disagree with. I dont think thats the case. Its why the church tries remaining neutral in politics. Our leaders dont want us to be a bunch of robots who only think one way. There needs to be diversity, and with how much the church has been spreading internationally, its becoming more that way.
