So heres a thought, the logging industry may save our planet. Bear with me a moment before you go all internet spam on me. Trees convert C02 into oxygen taking the carbon to create wood essentially. When the tree dies naturally it decays or burns whichever the case maybe and releases the C02 back into the atmosphere. But when we log the trees and use our current kraft processes to preserve the wood preventing rot, the CO2 then remains in the lumber. It is essentially removed from the carbon cycle. This combined with current reforestation efforts could serve to scrub the atmosphere of carbon dioxide, taking all the C02 released from hydrocarbons and converting it into useable materials for construction or art or whatever we please as long as we prevent the wood from rotting or burning. Its just a thought but I maybe onto something
