So heres an example of a car bought by a dealer in Japan 1999 Nissan silvia s15 spec R, sold at auction for 610000JPY which would have worked out at €8807 here and cleared ex vrt. You can see its pictures at the dealers further on,They have it listed for sale for 1624000JPY :) which if you were to buy direct from them would work out at €20125 here & cleared :) We are also able to purchase direct from dealers as well as auction but the discounts are minimal, as little as 20/30000JPY from some of them, they dont seem interested in exporting a lot of the time as they make more money selling the cars locally, so when you see a car going for crazy money and think its a rip, its most likely staying in Japan unless someone really really wants it and is prepared to pay.
