So heres my conundrum: In order to sell millions of copies of my books, I need a good literary agent--a professional, and to hire an assistant to handle tedium while I write great material. In order to afford a good literary agent and an assistant, I need to sell millions of books. Okay, at least thousands. Or I need a publicist to sell the ones I already finished. But I need to sell books to afford a publicist. I write real swell books, but I dont know enough of the right people to help me market them for big effect. And Ive taught myself so many usable skills that I need and use, others seem unimpressive in what they can offer me. It just has to be as good as or better than mine for me to believe youre that good for me. Nothing like that has shown up yet.
