So heres the deal now.....believe it if you want.....if you dont, cant blame you. This is one perfect reason why I hate To put numbers on a storm 2 days in advance.....ESP one where the data is not in agreeing and the storm has yet to form....lesson learned....and in this case, a Major change on the Western side.....that is us. Cold and very dry Arctic air wins west of the Berkshires.....plus the track 75 to 100 miles east results in not much from the Hudson Valley west.....and light to moderate snow east.... Radar keeps showing snow backing west around the storm from the ocean.....but it has a Difficult time saturating the air out here and erodes away....finally it is making some progress. There will be periods of snow today......mostly light locally.....a bit heavier for awhile east. Accumulations.....probably in the range of 2 to 4 in along the immediate Hudson Valley/Capital Region..... 3 to 5 in for Eastern Rensselaer and Columbia Counties..... and 5 to 9 in for the Berkshires......up to a foot on the east slopes of the Berkshires and obviously east of that will continue to get crushed. Areas just to the west of the Hudson Valley......and north.....just a coating to an inch or two will fall. In Summary.....a major change....and yes.....major bust on this side of the Block Buster NEaster......eating Humble Pie this morning for Breakfast and it doesnt taste to good.....need more coffee.
