So, how do you guys deal with healers in Frontlines? Honestly, they seem to be the most troublesome to deal with and this is coming from a healer (SCH), lol. The reason I finally bring myself to ask this is because it took 7 of our guys just to even kill ONE of them on an opposing team in one of our matches. There is a structure near the outpost (Im with Twin Adder, so Im just assuming that the environments are similar for Flames and Maelstrom) which have a set of stairs. They lead up to a small shed-like box with two openings (basically a front and back door). This WHM ran inside, then kept running out of one door and around the structure, then going back inside through the back door and using the walls to interrupt everyones skills and spells. I mean, I know environments can help and maybe dipping behind a wall can mean the difference between life and death when a BLM is casting something, but come on... When theyre able to interrupt 90% of your attacks with a gimmick like this, it makes this VERY annoying and honestly? It feels pretty broken if you need 5+ players just to kill ONE because of this. Some of the members of our other alliances were like wtf are you doing? just leave the WHM alone and capture a flag, but I think we were ALL pretty frustrated that we couldnt kill this dude because of his shenanigans (which he had obviously done before plenty of times). I was one of the people that kept trying to kill him too (mainly cause I didnt want to leave an enemy in our outpost anyway). Alternatively, you have situations where you encounter another team while trying to rush to the Manors or Markets in the beginning and quickly realize they have 4-5 healers (2-3 of which are SCH and are especially annoying with their pets). Its times like these I feel like its hopeless because NOBODY dies, yet we begin losing people left and right because we only have 1-2 healers in our alliance. Im really just becoming frustrated with it because Im wishing that PvP had some kind of rule like using DF for dungeons where you have to have 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 DPS or 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 4 DPS as party setups. It leads me to believe that if you were to go in with 8 healers in PvP, youd pretty much never lose or die, like... Ever, lol. It would be incredibly broken (more so than it is now with the excessive healing bullshit anyway). Of course though, just when you think youre making some headway, suddenly you find yourself (and the group around you) asleep and the BLM kills you all with their LB. Ive never been a PvP kind of guy though, Im more PvE, personally, but someone told me earlier Welcome to MMO PvP balance when I complained in shout about some of the things I had been witnessing in Frontlines, lol. Its a long way to go to 100 wins (only have 13 out of 50+ matches so far... Maelstrom wins 85-90% of the time on Balmung it seems), but any help would be much appreciated with how to deal with these situations in the future.
