So how much sense does this make? I am prescribed a medication - TopicsExpress

So how much sense does this make? I am prescribed a medication during my last hospitalization, that miraculously works. It is a antiemetic drug that Im supposed to take every four hours to prevent nausea. It is also a sub-lingual...therefore I am only permitted, by insurance company guidelines, one pill a day. So needless to say Ive been hoarding them and only taking them when I absolutely have to. Of course, as a result, I end up getting super sick again, nowhere like I was before but bad. Ive tried explaining to the insurance company that if I dont take them I will end up with severe nausea that will not allow me to keep anything in or down which results in critical dehydration and critical loss of potassium and an expensive hospital stay tha averages about $60,000.00 each time. All of this could be eliminated by a freaking generic drug!!! I received a letter today saying that my appeal is denied but that Im free to self pay for the remaining pills not covered. I did the math...its about $3300.00 per month. Seriously???
