So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. (1 Peter 5:6 NLT) Happy and blessed New Year to all of you! So many exciting events this year, that as a parent, it just fills my heart with joy. I could not be more proud. Michael, has been 1st honors in every semester at school. He is killing it on the swim team and chess club. He landed a part in the school play. ANDDDDD....the most exciting news of this year, he was accepted into his top choice of High Schools! I watched this 14 year old work so hard, so diligently until he achieved what he set out to do. Although he is very well liked in school, he could care less about social status amongst his peers, but instead focuses in on his goals until they are achieved. I learn from this child all of the time. Sebastian also has been 1st AND high honors every semester. He began LAX this year and plays Soprano Xylophone in the players club in school. He is also amazing in his chess club and landed a part in the school play, as well! He is the kindest, sweetest young man and an avid reader. This child can read a 605 pages in a week (thats on top of his studies!). He impresses me every day. Corbin, OH Corbin! lol....he is my spit fire. His personality is me, but has Jims intelligence. Corbin is my child that keeps me on my toes and challenges me as a mother. He has a fiercely strong, competitive personality, which, as a mother I find it a little bit of a challenge to harness that edge to him so he can flourish while keeping him grounded. He is receiving amazing marks in school in 1st grade and is very popular amongst his friends. He was accepted onto the travel baseball team, he started LAX this year, and is an avid golfer. Isabella, is probably the sweetest, most compassionate, sensitive little lady that I have ever met. Her heart is filled with so much love. My challenge with her is that she gets her feelings hurt so easily. I have to constantly figure out ways to never tarnish that love in her heart, yet make her more immune to the harshness of this world. She is exceling in Kindergarten, as well as, ballet, gymnastics, horse back riding, and music. I pray that this is another year of happiness, love, and good health. However, I understand that these things are never guaranteed so I pray instead that I have strong faith, a strong mind, and loving heart to face anything that life will have for me this year. I have a healthy respect for life and all of its splendor, as well as, some heart aches. No matter what, I always thank God for loving me and being by my side. Many blessings to you all and thank you for allowing me to share some exciting happenings in my life. Love and hugs to all of you. Amber Marchese
