So i am working on this nerd project and in version 1 I am manually assembling some data from choice house tracks through history going back to roughly the late 70s. There is obviously way to much house music over the past 4.3 decades, so I am being somewhat choosey to make sure I get a good representation of sound (or as much as I can stand with the amount of time i have to finish version 1). Version 2 I will work with the discogs API to make things a lot broader over a more fine-ite intervals of time (at least well see if my schedule allows it). So among my digging, which has been fun but irritating (because I am manually mining the data about the songs) even though Ive only been at it (in the years 1985-1989) for the last 2 hours I came across a song in which I have never heard and that INSTANTLY alerted me to a song that came out in early 2009 that was a club slumper for at least 10-11 months. Do you have the ear that can identify that track :)? The track for 2009 based its WHOLE lead melody and rhythmic prowess around this original song Ive linkd.
