So i was finally able to find a workaround for the restart glitch. I tested it several times by closing the app and removing it from the recents panel and i was able to re open it without clearing data. So here it is, the temporary fix till facebook devs decide to fix it themselves :) You will need: - ROOT - XPOSED FRAMEWORK 1) After installing Xposed framework, search for the App Settings module. Install it, activate it, then reboot. 2) Open the module you just installed, search for the Facebook app, then check the Resident option. Click the save icon on the upper right corner then click yes on the toast that will appear. 3) Clear Facebook data from settings. 4) Open the Facebook app, then close it. Reopen it to see if it worked. Mine did! Enjoy!
