So if I understand Facebook....which is unlikely...I dont people I am friends that arent also friends with her saw this post that Maureen Keller tagged me in the other day so I just wanted to share it.... We have some news about Blake that we wanted to share: We learned earlier this week that Blake has a tumor on one of his lungs. While he is not showing any significant symptoms at this time, the fear is that the tumor could grow and rupture, causing Blake to have a difficult time breathing, possibly resulting in suffocation. Blake has had multiple scans, xrays, etc. and the tumor is not large at this time, but we also have no idea how long it has been there. A possible treatment is a lung lobectomy surgery at a specialist whom we are meeting with Wednesday. This is a major surgery with lots of risks, and were not even sure that Blake will be a good candidate, but we want to explore our options, especially since we have the luxury of knowing about the tumor in advance. The life expectancy post-surgery is 1 1/2 to 2 years, and we really dont know what his current chances are with the lung tumor. We are still gathering info, weighing options, and most importantly, spending time with Blake. Therefore, we are not asking for our friends and family to reach out with phone calls, but instead please sends positive vibes, thoughts, prayers or whatever you want this way as we deal with this. However, just know that Blake is usual spunky self right now!
