So if common core state standards are only slightly more than adjusting the GLE phrasing in order to challenge our students and assure that knowledge is being built upon, why are states deciding to back out now? Am I the only teacher that feels as if we havent even gotten the time to fully implement these standards while the state has already decided to switch gears? Missouri needs to make up their mind, and until they do, I can handle pushing each of my students to reach their highest potential regardless of how they will be assessed (teachers, I just incorporated an I can statement).
