So im about to submit a design concept to a client and I blindly stumble across something pretty cool......well, I thought it was cool but I am easily amused! I had just finished this perspective drawing of a small enclosed media cabinet and woke the iphone up and opened the camera. I was trying to avoid a glare when i noticed that as i moved the camera around the sketch, It remained in perspective but its perspective dimensions began to change! So I messed around with it! Take a look at the original draft straight on (pic 1 ). As I moved as if to take a picture of the end, The perspective changed to that of a taller, thinner and much longer cabinet like the bottom of a china cabinet (pic 2). As I moved as if i were getting a pic of the front, all of the sudden perspective morphed again to that of a square coffee table! (pic 3 ) The last picture is from low shooting up on the corner straight away. The appearance of height changed. I thought this was awesome. Potentially once youve drafted a piece, you can manipulate viewing angles in a camera to get a glimpse of what a different but matching piece would look like. That could be very valuable!
