So im not the yippee skippee type. Well i never was that way. Does that mean im outa touch with anything? No. Lets just say for instance that everything is what it appears to be out here in the real world. and this is really just a stepping stone in the game of progress. How do you explain ridiculously high gas prices? How do you explain the homelessness? How do you explain the jobless rate? How do you explain the crime rates rising? Neighbors fighting each other for stupid things. People sticking their noses where it dont belong etc. Rudeness and arrogance in public. More greed than ever before. Has society really been made better by all this so called great technology? Are we really better off than we were 40 years ago 30 20 ? I can remember people being courteous to everyone no matter what their beliefs and lifestyles were. And everyones religion was their own choosing and no one seemed offended if their neighbor went to a different church than they did. If a neighbor had a catastrophy, the whole neighborhood helped that neighbor out. And didnt need a tv crew or some media source barging in trying to name folk as heros for doing what is and was expected as neighbors and humans. Just because someone rescues someone from harm does that make them a hero? or just a normal human being? Weve reached a point in society where everything you do seems to be for some kind of recognition or award. And mind you these are common sense things that every human should be doing with out thought or recognition. What are these things? Well thats for you to decide what that is. But back to the point. We have cars that talk to us, park themselves, devices that give us directions. Street indicators that tell us when and when not to cross a intersection. Contraptions that count money for us. And with all the high costs of automobiles, not one of them do any better on gas/diesel than what they did years ago, when you could use your ingenuity and spec out a automobile the way you wanted it and obtain exactly what you wanted. You bought a house on your assesment of your finances and not some financial planners idea of what you can afford and not afford. Something i was told as a child. An idle mind is the devils playground. So with that in mind, all this idle time we all should have because of the no brainner options we live with everyday. Is it possible that all these idle minds in the world is the reason theres so much disrespect and lack of courtesy? People like Dr Phil has florished because the general population dont have the mental capacity to stop and think for themselves. They have gadgets to help them think and it frees them up to act stupidly on national tv and in public. So really have we progressed? or are we slipping into apathy by our lack of using a body part the great creator designed us to use to expand our lives and make it better.
