So in case you didnt see the Nintendo Direct today, here it is: https://youtube/watch?v=KkXmABkDlNE Here are my thoughts on it: Majoras Mask 3D: Well, it finally happened, and the people at Operation Moonfall ought to be proud, since they made it happened! Ill be honest, I really didnt think it would happen... but now that it is, Im getting it, and a strategy guide to go with it, since the last time I played it was on the Wii Virtual Console, and I had a hard time memorizing the Classic Controller controls, not to mention all the nonsense happening in-game UNDER A TIME LIMIT (I dont work good under time limits). Itll be really awesome to finally get a hold of this game! #MajorasMask Even though its great to see Iwata again, he didnt do much of the talking. Bill Trinen of Nintendo of America pretty much took it from there. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.: Even though Im not big on real-time strategies, and Im kind of nervous/intimidated by the gameplay, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. looks really awesome, and its kind of sad not a lot of people are as excited about it. Just seeing the characters, the setting, and the theming in this game, it just looks like a blast to play! Hopefully, itll pick up steam, so to speak, once its closer to its release. ...BTW, Abraham Lincoln, Tom Sawyer, and the Lion from Oz, WTF?! XD #CodeNameSTEAM Ultimate NES Remix: Im told that the 3DS version of this game is missing some things from the Wii U titles, but that wont stop me from getting it, especially after hearing theres exclusive content for the game, including Famicom Remix, holy cow! Seriously, though, I didnt bother buying the NES Remix games so that I could get this game, though I might just get the Wii U games anyway, especially if that rumor about Nintendo considering an SNES Remix game if NES Remix sales are good! ;) #NESRemix Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker: Ive already been convinced of buying this game after that overview trailer a while back, and GameXplains coverage on it (speaking of which, too bad for them, another massive analysis is on the way thanks to this new 70-Level trailer). I might be a little upset about being spoiled about some levels, but it doesnt matter, this game looks like so much fun! And unlockable features? 110% sold! #CaptainToad Also, purchasing directly from Nintendo. Thats awesome, even though its highly unlikely Ill use this feature. Amiibo: Do amiibo really light up when you scan them light that, or is that just an effect for the Direct? Like, Im assuming its an effect, since... that just feels too awesome to be real, right? #amiibo Mario Kart 8: That F-Zero course just made me go #FZeroforWiiU, but even still, that music and the course itself look so unbelievably awesome, I cant wait to race on it! That dragon course looks awesome, too (Ive seen the other courses before, so not much to say about them). Link and The Legend of Zelda course... OH MY GOSH! I am in love, people! Its disappointing that the amiibo only give Miis different costumes, but at the same time... Dang if the Captain Falcon costume doesnt look awesome! #MK8 Kirby and the Rainbow Curse: Not much to say about this, other then I love the claymation style, AND Bandana Dee is going to be playable! ...As an assist character, but whatever! Hes really gaining some headway there! #Kirby Hyrule Warriors: ...The Spinner? Really? THATS all we get from using Links amiibo? I cant be the only one underwhelmed by this announcement... or feel that the Spinner was a lame item in general. Still, I like getting random rewards... also, still need to finish this game. #HyruleWarriors Super Smash Bros.: This is it, the moment weve been waiting for... the final reveal trailer... for DUCK HUNT! I have to say, much like Bowser Jr.s trailer, this would have been more awesome if I didnt know Duck Hunt was going to be a character, but that didnt make the trailer any less awesome! I like, cant even speak, theres just so many things to comment about, I dont even... Oh, and the original game Duck Hunt is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console! Thats so awesome! I hope Hogans Alley and Wild Gunman also come to the Virtual Console as well! #DuckHunt #SmashBros Indie Games (or Nindie, as I guess youd call it): Really glad to see Nintendos supporting Indie Developers more, all the games coming to Wii U and 3DS are looking REALLY good! I havent really heard about The Swapper, but Shovel Knight, as Ive said before, is fantastic in every way (and its now available in Europe and Australia, awesome!)! All the other games went by too quickly for me to really comment on, though... I DID see Citizens of Earth, though, which I heard about this past E3, and looks quirky and fun as Hell! And SteamWorld Heist, the sequel (sort of) to SteamWorld Dig! But... Commander Video as a trophy in Super Smash Bros.? Really? Ill be honest, the Bit.Trip series isnt all that good... It can actually be pretty frustrating at times, especially for a rhythm-based game in which you have to know how the rhythm goes before it actually plays. I feel like Shovel Knight would have made a better trophy, but then again, I guess Commander Videos been around longer... Eh, whatever. No stranger then Rayman being a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Those themes are cool, though. Sonic Boom... probably not going to bother with the demo, though I AM intrigued by the game. But another Puzzle Swap panel! Nintendo, youre KILLING me with these panels, I just dont get enough StreetPasses to do this kind of thing! Also, Mario and Luigi suits in Monster Hunter... Eh. I dont play Monster Hunter, so whatever. #Nindie Miyamoto & Pikmin: Man, I am totally going to buy the shorts for BOTH my 3DS and Wii U! So excited for these, AND I look forward to potentially more shorts from Nintendo! ...But why release a demo of Pikmin 3 if the games already been out for over a year now? Eh, whatever, maybe people havent gotten it yet... #Pikmin Xenoblade Chronicles X: Still need to finish the first game, even though this game is only barely connected to the first one. Really, I dont have that much to say about this, other then how amazing it looks! Like, wow, unbelievable. Also, those cute little creatures that Riki is supposed to be are back! X3 #Xenoblade Splatoon: Even though Reggie said there will be a single-player campaign, seeing it for myself... Like, wow. The hype for this game is real! Best new IP Ive seen from Nintendo in years! Like, so bizarre, unique, and fun, this game just looks like balls-to-the-wall madness and Im going to love it! ...I hope. Also, squids fighting octopi? Arent they all cephalopods? ...Ah, whatever, its aweosme regardless! #Splatoon Thats about all I had to say. I guess I might be a LITTLE disappointed that we didnt get any additional Smash Bros. info other then the Duck Hunt trailer, but its all good, its not like theres anything left to announce at this point (or IS THERE?!).
