So in the craziness of last night we had a small crisis. Everyone was here for our watch party so we let the kids stay up to watch most of the game. Blakely had to use the restroom so she ran inside. She was in there for a couple if minutes but she is known to play around so I didnt think anything of it. I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I look over to the bathroom window and I see Blakelys jacket being flung against the window. The window is high up so I knew she was trying to get my attention. I ran in the house thinking she had gotten sick or something, but when I got there I asked her if she was ok and she said she had locked herself in the bathroom. If you recall our house is very old so the lock on the door is not easy to use and there is no safety button on the outside. Its also not a doorknob that can easily be taken off. I went back outside and get Caleb. After some talking he pushed a spoon under the door and she used it to get some leverage to push the lock to the open position. She was pretty shaken up but once she calmed down I told her how proud I was of her resourcefulness and getting our attention with her jacket. Never a dull moment.
