So in the saga that is the Cecil County school budget, theres been a lot of questions around the $2 million dollar price tag for a new field house. I had a source who admittedly doesnt know for sure, but they said that field house would hold new locker rooms, coaches offices, classrooms, and weight room as well as just storing equipment. Since the locker rooms and weight closet at the school now are outdated and inadequate, this makes sense. One of the things I try to tell myself when I hear about a decision someone else planned for and made, is that most people in positions of authority are intelligent. They usually put a good amount of thought into a idea before they propose it. So I should have figured Rash and the authorities at PHS has a plan when they proposed a $2 million dollar field house. Especially knowing the economic climate and how hard it is to get that kind of money. So I rushed to judgement when I heard that number, which was unfair. Now you may or may not agree that they need a $2 million dollar field house, but at least theyd be getting their moneys worth.
