So is this what happened to DJay after he got out of jail in Hustle N Flow ?! I feel like this is the follow up series. Can somebody please give me something on this one! We are not pushing the creative limits and positioning ourselves in new or rather diverse light at all. As a creative, we have seen several gangsta/dope gone right stories families fighting over power for money, fame and glory. At least if you gone do it can you do it with more depth and maybe historical references. This is just another weak attempt of FOX to bring back black audiences to they garbage ass network. I dont even have to look over the reviews and the back story to break this down. We have settled for just a low bar entertainment and depictions of ourselves. You telling me on prime-time TV with two Oscar nominated actors they got play rolls like this just to get us to comeback to the network because these programmers cant figure out how to reach us anymore! Be mindful this is RUPERT MURDOCH FOX..YES, the same one who produced Exodus and said he felt like it was an accurate depiction. This is nothing more than another version of Power, but on Fox which honestly Im tired of these damn stories. At least if you gone tell me another crime/hip-hop story line and stop making it not look like a extra long music video! Im done. I will be building my own network this just confirmed it! SMH!
