So, it has been a really long time since we posted anything on our page. We have been busy and refocused our efforts to revamping the house. There was a lot to do, as the house was not lived in for over a year. We have finally finished with the remodeling, and since moved in. The house looks great, and we are happy with the way it came out. In other news, we have been having issues with our neighbor. He has chickens, ducks, and heaven knows what else, and to protect it all, two Great Pyrenees that love to protect our property as well. They bark and chase after my wife and our Greyhound when they take a walk, or when we run our Greyhound in our yard. They even bark all night outside my childrens window, or stand and bark at our front porch when my daughter gets home from work. We have made numerous efforts to speak with our neighbor, and have asked him to please address the issue. He does not think his dogs are a problem, and has informed us that his dogs were bred to protect live stock from predators like our Greyhound. We have asked him to have them protect his property, not ours. We also have informed him that if his chickens continue to cross into our property, they are subject to being attacked or confiscated. After numerous attempts at trying to work things out we called animal control, and when that didnt do any good, and after a stroll on our property with our Greyhound resulted in the dogs charging and barking, and the neighbor firing off his shotgun 20 feet away from me without warning, we had no choice but to call the police. Since then he has put up an electric fence only on one side of his property that is currently not activated. Additionally, he has placed cameras pointing into our property, and in the direction of our house. We have not consented to this and feel that his is an invasion of our privacy. So, next step....Attorneys office. Not sure what is wrong with this neighbor, I guess he just doesnt get it....or is it us. Stay tuned for the next fun filled episode of life in the country...I hear banjos.
