So it is that time of the month. Yep the old give your dog his heartworm pill time. Honestly he is getting better about it. I dont know how many people out there (minus all my animal professionals) have ever tried giving a pill to a Chihuahua but it can be a real frustrating experience. You see that small little pill we see is like swallowing a quarter to them and no matter how hard you try to hide it they will find it every time. And their mouth is to small to try and put that pill in the back of their mouth. So I tried ham... no go....tried cheese.....nope. even put,it in the middle of a Oreo once ( I know.....bad!) Ate around it. And now he knows where I keep them so if he sees me going for them it is under the bed time. I literally have to sneak this damn pill out of the drawer, disguise it in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and pray he just swallows that one little piece whole and not chew it or we have battle royal going on with it cuz he knows. Tonight my prayers were answered. Thank You! Ughhhhhhhhhhh
