So it is the time of yr that the NICU is blessed with many, many sweet little college volunteers. I adore them and majority are just so darn cute I want to just put them in my pocket and take them home. My spirit is renewed when I take and have the time to sit and talk with them and they share their dreams, plans and aspirations. They really are a blessing not only to our busy days in the NICU but to my very personal soul. There is this one in particular though and the Lord just needs to forgive me.....I guess because I have a southern accent this one in particular is just always talking about it and letting me know all these southern things she loves and why she is just the prettiest, sweetest most popular southern soriety gal on this side of the Mason Dixon Line. Which honestly makes me a little skeptical. After several weeks of this and of her mentioning you are just so southern 55 times I have found myself so annoyed. It is very upsetting to me and makes me disappointed in myself that I am allowing myself to become annoyed - that her annoying me is actually made me become annoying to myself. Im just being honest though... SO if I had enough meaness in me I would love to give her a little Southern Lesson from a true blue Southern Bull Island Bell It would indeed go something like this...Things Southern women find suspicious..1) Sushi - We call that delicacy you bring for your lunch everyday BAIT 2) Any Southerner who eats fried chicken with a fork (when I witnessed this I really wanted to ask to see her birth certificate for sure!) 3) Anyone who constantly talksabout themselves and looks in the mirror 4 times every hr and brushes their hair more in your 4 hr volunteer increment more than I do all week (southern women aint got time for that!!!) 4) Anyone who openly admits they dislike small children and animals!! (obviously she is there for credits - my question is why choose the NICU?) The conclusion too my little thinking this out loud blog is Im not buying it Sissy!!!!
