So it turns out, as many of you know, that the incident that occurred at Anderson Hall, U of M, was in fact an attempted armed robbery of another student. To that I say, we are better than that America. I certainly hope that anyone nearby did what they could within their power to help that poor person who likely was just treating the day like any other, going to class in a place he thought to be safe. I am not asking you to put your lives in jeopardy, but do everything in your power to aid in the subduction or apprehension of this robber and all criminals for that matter. It was very bizarre and disheartening watching the lack of seriousness exuded by students regarding an act that was taking place just down the way. If you get a text or a message of the likes of what we received, take your ear buds out, stay alert, and treat the incident - hoax or not - as a serious breach of security. Do everything you can to make this world a better place. Things have escalated too far around this campus. I know I wasnt willing to accept this. I turned a blind eye because it was not close to home, and it did not effect me personally. Most people here at the U are truly remarkable human beings if they would just see it themselves. Were on the same team. Start acting like it. To the praying type, god bless. To the non-praying type, good fortune.
