So it was about 8 years ago I was living on 11.5 acres what scored with the south river along the back end. My ex and I was doing about 200k a year, raising chickens, ducks , a few goats here and there and a huge turkey what happened about for a while. Had an awesome garden and some fruit trees what put out every year and lots of hunting right out back. Was a lot of work but a labor of love none the less. Was what I would have liked to have been home for a while longer but as they say all good things must come to and end. Its been 7 years since a final split from the ex who couldnt be true , 5 years since bankruptcy and almost 3 years in an apartment. I left in an old pick up that ran on 5 cylinders though it had 6, all my clothes in trash bags , my tools and hunting / outdoor gear. I cant recall but a few times tougher than the day I had to swallow that big hunk of humble pie and walk away from a dream but it truly was the right thing to do at that time. Broker than hell I got on with life , moved home or where I grew up I guess and started over with a clean slate coupled high interest rates. Might not seem like much to most but for me never turning to a bottle or giving in to anything thing especially self pity was a big deal. Ive been known to party pretty heavy in my younger days. I turned more to helping others I guess , never really thought much about it. It really was my last dollar some weeks and fixin folks car for free simply because I saw that was more important at the time than me and my worries. What a different view Ive found on life since .... Today I am pretty happy. Got everything in line, a nice ride and my dog Whitman Bird dog . Money in the bank and buying a house again , just me , no help, none needed. Seems the only thing lacking is knowing a good woman to spend time with. I have dated and met a few, well many to be honest in the time in between but to be honest , again, some of the ladies nearly scared the shit out of me, lol. Crazy females ! But I reckon thatll come in time as well.... Its true you know, We do reap what we sow. Just takes a little time before the harvest is ready but itll come none the less.
