So...it was bound to happen and today it finally did. I was in the Culp Center getting my afternoon coffee and this young woman in front of me turned around and said, youre Mr. Vaughn, right? I answered affirmatively. I love your online class, she said. How nice, I thought, to get feedback from a student I may never have the opportunity to meet in person. You had my mother, too--she told me to take you. How sweet, I thought. Now, when did I have your mom? Back in 1994. I wasnt even born yet. For the first time in a few decades, this guy really was speechless. Nothing quite like perspective, is there?
