So its after ten and I just spoke to the nurse. While Steve is still critical he is stable. He tested positive for bacteria in his stool yesterday but the nurse says it isnt as bad today. Yea! Thats one for us! His hemoglobin fell to 5.9 last night so he was given blood today. No surgery due to this. With the transfusion his heart rate is down to about 90 considering it was at 147 yesterday. Yea....2 for us! His blood pressure is up, was 100 /55 today as yesterday it was 67/37. Yea...#3. He is sedated and being given pain medication. He is also being given LASIK for fluid around lungs and heart and much of that is gone. #4! We (Butch, his son and me) prayed for him this morning and he now has the necessary items in his hands. The nurses and doctors are being very careful to have one of us move these items when needing to work on Steve. He is fighting and that is a good sign. I am trying to NOT go in his room as I have gotten a cold and am pumping myself full of OJ, Cough drops and any and all things that may help. Keep sending those remedies as I want this gone ASAP! Keep the prayers coming as he is still weak and has a long way to go before he is better. Thank you to each and every one if you for the kind words and prayers.
