So its been another Kathi kind of day. Was awakened at 8:30 a.m. by an appointment reminder for next Wednesday. Went back to sleep and overslept. Quick check of my email tells me Im overdrawn. Race to my clients house at noon only to almost immediately get a phone call from my husband. The rule is if its an emergency call steve and he will call me. Thats the only time I answer my phone at work. The emergency was my mother had suffered an event and was being transported to the hospital by ambulance. After speaking with my sister in law I called the office and they quickly replaced me. I raced to the emergency room and found the event was not as drastic as we thought. My super expert sister-in-law Kathy Proctor had used the nitroglycerin correctly. I spent the rest of the day at the emergency room or in her hospital room until 7:30 p.m. When, thank heaven, our friend Judy Sharman arrived. Oh and thats not all. Stevie Kaye Urban has finally had enough and decided she was moving out tonight. The minor inconvenience that she was working until 11pm was irrelevant. Once again William Urban and Elisabeth Noel Paul were superstars. They went with me at 9 oclock at night, hauled her entire bedroom suit to the truck, then brought it to my house and put the bed inside. So now its 2 a.m. And Sasha and I are snuggled up in bed ready to sleep the night away. I thank the Lord that Mama is not as sick as we had thought. I thank you for friends like Judy that you can count on. And I thank him that I was given such a strong son who has found an equally strong partner. I also thank him that he finally convinced Stevie to come home. I have been nervous ever since she came home from the hospital. That house was a sweet house but not for her. So tomorrow hopefully mama will pass her stress test, and we will decide whether to drag Stevie Kayes furniture up the stairs or get a storage unit. Good night folks and Im done.
