So, its my last day in Odessa for a while...and probably my last time to stay in this house. I know its a necessary change, but my heart is just breaking. I wish I were less emotional and more detached, but Im just this way. Sorry I didnt get to see all of my Texas friends, who I always say Ill see on my next trip, its just so hard to peel myself away from my father. I swear Id sit next to him all day every day if hed let me. The older he gets, the better his stories get, because his give a shit mechanism is wearing out, and he can be more honest and uncensored. I love hearing what he really thinks about everything. He put new tires on my car, filled up the gas tank, bought me a new tire gauge, and even replace the D-ring that I use as a keychain, because he said it was wearing out. If you are a dad, and you wonder how to be awesome at it, well, take pro-tips from mine. He is the very best.
