So its pretty weird or ironic even that marijuana is legalized recreationally in Washington D.C. meaning that its legal to possess and smoke marijuana for fun in the countries capital but its still illegal federally. The federal government should step out of this issue unless they want to legalize it completely. Let the states decide. But its about time to change marijuana from a schedule one substance which states that it has NO medicinal purpose in light that 23 states have passed it medicinally. Also 4 states and have completely legalized it, its time to stop calling this plant a drug, there is a big difference between it and heroin and cocaine, yet they are classified as the same according to the federal government. And these states arent dumb, there is a reason they completely legalized it in 4 states, they would never completely legalize heroin or cocaine in any state for recreational use. Its time to stop this bogus prohibition and forward. Let the people use this plant for medicine like they have for 10,000 years.
