So i’ve finally collected my thoughts on this event. Such a great event. Good plots and great character interactions. The energy was high both among players and crew alike. There was a great feel about this event. It felt (and so did the one prior to it) reminiscent of how BRR was when i first started attending 8 years or so ago (wow, has been long?). There were a variety of little encounters and sub-plots, as well as a slightly more significant plot with supernatural overtones. Being pursued in the dark by the “Wild Hunt” was both exciting and terrifying, it was one of the most intense and relentless encounters i’ve ever done. And I loved it for it. That night fight is right up there the with the defence of Fredericks Causeway (and Lee and Will know how i feel about that). Personalised acknowledgements; Will: once again some great character interactions between Enrico and Peter, i feel their growing not rust as Lord and retainer, but as as trusted friends as well. Claire: you were once again, a terrifying ghost in the dark. And wonderful as Rosie. Sam: I love the interactions between Sir Peter and Farther De Craven. They both respect each other’s abilities, yet neither want to admit it. It’s a constant game of “cat and mouse” between them, and i love it. John: You were great as Forester / The Hunt Master. You really made me fight for it when i defended those who went into the wood to find your promise. Proof you’ve got what it takes to be a good villain. Shell: one of these day i will actually see berserk. Thanks for drawing attention to Sir Peter’s problem. David: The healthy antagonism between Richard and Peter is always fun to play. Daniel: Good to see you back playing Gilbert. Not so good to see his bedside manner has got as bad as Richard’s. Nicholas: For a for a first time player, you really impressed me (and others). You threw yourself into Larping 110%. Hope we see Sir James again. My only complaint about the event, is there was maybe a bit to much going on on the Sunday (which is probably why we timed out later than usual), but other than that, a really good event. :D
