So...juror after juror are getting booted off this case and Im still there. It sounded like an interesting kidnap-rape case. I finally raise my hand and said, I know you know Im a retired cop, but you havent asked what Ive done in my career. My background, as I think relates to this case. is substantial, but if it doesnt matter, I just wanted to make sure it didnt appear as if I was keeping the info from you. The judge then said, Id like to hear your experience. The defense attorney then says...Wow. You seem like such a nice guy with a nice smile. I never would have guessed you had that sort of experience. Im thinking, WTH does that mean? Anyways, he booted me with his next challenge and the court thanked me for my candor and service. I guess they thought I was the Department gardener, computer or camera guy. LOL!
