So, just getting around to recapping the weekend. It was hot. It was, like, Africa hot. It was London Broil setting.... Apart from the heat, it was truly great getting to see some of my old friends, especially the ones that crawled out from the woodwork... Saturday was split up between meetings, going to courts, and pretty much just hanging out in the hall to avoid the heat. Sat at High Table during feast with His most gracious Majesty Kurn (Farrell) and got to talk to some newcomers a bit, which was nice. Then went into the kitchen to help prep Sundays breakfast. Finally crashed around 1am. Sunday was predominantly spent in the kitchen, helping Tommy and Brenna prepare feast. Wonky elbow prevented me from forming properly round meatballs, so I chopped veggies and prepped a metric butt ton of pterodactyl leg quarters. (Said chicken on the box, but these things were huge!) Had fun terrifying Brangwayna Kavanagh. (Dont know why she is afraid of me - I am a big teddy bear...) An extremely special thanks go to the butterflies for kitchen cleanup, and letting a very tired crew sit down and eat. Kristen, Thalassia, Brian, Jayne, Jennifer and any I may have missed.) Cant express enough gratitude. I would also like to extend my gratitude to those who looked after us this weekend. Lindsay, Signy, Eva, Tobrina, Edwina, James Janet and Mistress Eglantine. Thank you all for giving of your time to make sure we taken care of. And finally, a huge thank you to Richard, who swooped in and helped us pack up, when my shoulder and back went out (which is apparently due to some plague running about that has hit many of us.) I am very grateful for all of the help.
