So just got home from a twelve hour shift and Im feeling every hour of it. I am hurting every where and Im dead tired. However Im feeling blessed just by the fact that I have a job. I met a dude today that had lost pretty much everything he owned because he couldnt work because of a disability I tried to help as best i could today which was at that time just calling a taxi for him while i was at work so he could get to a VA clinic. I told him ide be praying for him and he asked me if i was that kind of man and i told him yes that I am a firm believer in God and His power. He said he used to be but he had gotten away from God and I told him the best thing he could do right now was to pray to God and ask Him for help and that God would, not because of his own merit or works but just because God is a God of love and mercy and He tells us to ask Him for things. He said thanks for the prayer and for helping him out and we parted ways I dont even know his name. Right now Im asking for prayer for this man and others out there like him who are down trodden and without hope. WE as Christians have a hope and that is Jesus Christ and the testimonies we all have of the miracles He has worked in our lives. We all to often like to hide that hope under a lamp shade. I challenge us to stopping hiding that hope and start letting it shine into the darkness and hopelessness of this world. Let the love of God shine in this world.
