So, last August I had a blown engine replaced in a 07 ford ranger with 130K. Last week I noticed an oil leak ..... Rear main seal is the diagnosis. A rather significant and expensive repair, a month outside of warranty too (well outside on mileage, though) ...... I never had this many problems with the chevy S-10s. Too bad, for me, they quit making them during the 07 time frame and they only made that little Colorado, couldnt fit a ladder in that little thing. Its really not the fault of ford or the garage, these things just happen to heavily used fleet vehicles. I sure wish the rebuilt motor had lasted a little longer, though. The shop is going to discount the labor, because I bought the more expensive option, last time, so that is a little better.
