So last Saturday, I was helping clean out my horses eye (I have loved Clint from day one!) and he got spooked by Appollo. As his big butt knocked me over, all I could see was the horse poop I was headed for!!! I heard he did a little dance as he tried not to step on me, but once he got his footing and took off, I got kicked (accidentally) a few times. I had instant severe thigh and chest pain. Thank you, Sara A Cote Milton for evaluating me and making me laugh. Thank you, Rachel Ward for your water - I was SO thirsty! Thank you, Celeste and Mom, and Teresa Paradis for helping us. And a HUGE thank you to my little sister, Debbi Muse for giving me water and reminding me to breathe! So as I laid there looking up at the beautiful blue sky and random clouds, I saw a white feather floating above me. I thought I was hallucinating but others saw it, too. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital in a neck brace and on a back board. I didnt hit my head; my back, lungs, and ribs were fine. No internal injuries; no broken bones. And ONE scrape! Incredible! Ill be on crutches for a while, the hematoma in my thigh is big, and the bruises are very colorful, but Im ok. Had some hay (and yes, horse poop) in my hair, but I was not covered in dirt like I thought I would be. They said I was lucky and someone mustve been looking out for me.
