So last Saturday a meeting to start an association was held at Sunway University with roughly 50 people present. Many things were discussed and more will follow but here it is for now: (Minutes will be posted soon, thanks Jillian Chahil) -It was suggested that established teams (teams that have at least played at MUO, Grizzly Open, Shark Alarm and/or any international tournaments) would elect one team representative to form a board of directors by December 15th. -The board of directors would elect a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer +3 additional members to form the association committee based on application received (application form/questionnaire to be posted soon by Erwin Wee) by January 1st or around that date. -In January the board of directors and the members of the committee will meet to have the first association meeting and establish a strategy to help the sport grow in Malaysia and eventually get registered as an association. It will not be easy but it is a start and I hope that these 2 goals will be achieved by whoever is a member of the board of directors, the committe and all members of the association. More details to follow but for now thats it. By-laws that were previously drafted by Safwan, Kuan and Ray will be posted so that everyone has an idea of the structure of the association (even though changes might be made to it) Share your thoughts Martin
