So last night I waited on a table of six. I of course gave great service and nothing went wrong. I knew the husband of the wife and the father of three girls and there was one extra. I kept drinks filled and food came out with nothing needed. The bill came out to be 73$ and some change. Im thinking surely this will be a 14$ tip. Nope, I got a 5$ tip. I really think its an insult to go out and eat and not tip at least 18%. Thats what it is now a days for u folks who do not know. I love my job as a server, and enjoy the customers. But if u as a family go out to eat, please know that we as ur server are only making $2.15 per hour. And if u can go out to eat and avoid cleaning and cooking urself, thats a luxury and at least tip ur server. Ok i am done ranting.... lol
