So last night I was on Soundcloud listening to some tracks and came across a DJs page who had a lot of followers, plays and comments. Ill save my opinion about the work because that is up to everyones interpretation & taste. But hes officially remixed a lot of well known artists and is even on the line up of White Party Palm Springs. As curious as I am, I looked at all these comments hes gotten and wouldnt you know they are all by girls - on remixes geared toward the gay community. Now, I have nothing against girls but lets be honest here - gay DJs usually get comments by gay men. And to have such an overwhelming amount of comments and likes by girls from places like Indonesia and very few from boys tells me one thing - you probably bought your like likes & comments. Im not going to say who this is because anybody who is smart enough and cares can figure out who Im talking about. But this is really sad and it speaks volumes as who you want to be as an artist if you have to reduce yourself to buying attention. There are so many DJs out there making music because they love it, not because they want to be popular. What ever happened to producers letting things happen naturally and working hard? Im getting really sick & tired of seeing things like this…..
