So last night I watched Heaven Is For Real. First off the cinematography was absolutely astounding (I literally teared up just from the scenery shots alone, wherever they filmed I am so jealous they even got to spend time there). The film stars Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® award winning actor Greg Kinnear as Todd Burpo and co-stars Kelly Reilly as Sonja Burpo who play a real-life couple whose son Colton claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience. Colton recounts the details of his amazing journey with childlike innocence and speaks matter-of-factly about things that happened before his birth, things he couldnt possibly know. Todd and his family are then challenged to examine the meaning from this remarkable event. This film really made me think about the fact that having faith is about more than just ministry and church and praying and all of those other things -- its about BELIEVING in the amazing things that God can do, especially when the proof is standing right there in front of you.
