So last week I lost my job. The dream job. Enough money to keep me comfortable. But apparently God saw that I could do better. He gave me the opportunity to attend the Oxford House World Convention. I met people from all across the country...New Jersey, North Carolina, Hawaii, Washington D.C. to name a few. I sat with them, discussed recovery, and ate with them as family. It wasnt an easy 4 days. I had little money for travel and had to wing it to find a place to sleep at night. But I learned how strong I am. Today I went back to the job that let me go and am now in the process of becoming certified through DHS to be a Childcare Provider. I see the need for families in recovery who are shuffling their jobs, recovery, and home, and still trying to find time to smile. I appreciate those who took me in, encouraged, and complimented me on my efforts, you kept me focused and determined. Much Love Yall. Faith.
