So...last year shopping at Walmart was a breeze. They had everything we needed and picking up our 1 hour guarantee items at our home store ROCKED! This year....I would say shopping at Walmart was just okay. The BIGGEST complaints would be this: 1) Our 1-Hour Guarantee items, when we went to register them online, did not allow us to select the store in our hometown for pick up. No option was given. I called Customer Service of Walmart to see if they could change the pick up store but the lady I received made NO EFFORT at all in trying to accommodate the customer. Many of you know that I work the phones for Colony in Customer Service so I know what its like getting calls like this. If I could rate this CSR she would have received a 4 out of 10. She only would get a 4 because she at least used a pleasant voice however made absolutely no effort/attempt to help the customer. Just said, Sorry, we arent allowed to do that. Really?? I am pretty sure Walmart has a more sophisticated system in place than you think lady. I am pretty sure Walmart could have fixed the problem seeing that the items just became available today and I called over 2 weeks ago to arrange a different store to pick up at. She didnt even ask another person if it were possible. To me, that is pretty lazy, rude and not very helpful. What would I have done? I would have done everything in my power to figure out a way to allow that customer to select their hometown for pick up. That is what any Excellent Customer Service Rep would have done. 2) So, now I am left with my 1-Hour Guarantee items stuck in Superior for Christmas. Both items were gifts. We will now be returning them once I receive them because they wont be here for Christmas when they are needed. (I will get them two days after Christmas) Lucky for me I have my nephews girlfriend picking up the items for me (hopefully). She wont have the receipt for pick up (which is required) so I have to send her the transaction number. I had to call the store, which I was hung up on twice (most likely by accident) and then put on hold for 15 minutes because they didnt know how to transfer to the electronics department, and find out what she would need since she cant get the App to view the receipt. I am sure they will give her CRAP about it but its not her fault the Walmart App wont load on her smartphone. :( Cross your fingers she is able to pick up the items. All in all....Walmart, unfortunately, was not our favorite retailer this year, as in the past.
